George Miller for Congress

Congressman George Miller is a lifelong resident of Contra Costa County and a recognized leader on education, labor, and the environment. He has a long record of legislative achievements that have helped create good jobs, make college more affordable and improve public schools.  He fought against insurance companies and won -- to make health care more affordable and accessible.  He helped restore accountability at big banks and credit card companies on behalf of consumers.  And he works hard to enact public policies that protect the taxpayer. George was an early opponent of the war in Iraq and has pressed for an early withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan. He fought for and won protections of the Bay Delta to ensure its long-term survival and to guarantee equitable sharing of California’s precious fresh water supplies. George is married, has two sons and six grandchildren. He is running for re-election in California new 11th congressional district.
